Support this site

In order to make sure Law and Your Environment is kept up to date in the long term UKELA has set up the Lord Nathan Memorial Fund for the Environment. We aim to ensure that the public has free access to information on environmental law via Law and Your Environment for as long as we are able to support the website. We already have £50,000 in the Fund and are aiming to raise enough so that the interest from the Fund enables us to maintain the site in the long term.

Make a donation

UKELA is keen to work with like-minded organisations and individuals, which support our objectives. You can support the site in several ways. Make a donation to the Lord Nathan Memorial Fund either as a lump sum or a regular standing order.

Please send donations to Alison Boyd at P O Box 487, Dorking, RH4 9BH. Cheques are payable to the ‘UK Environmental Law Association’.

Or make a BACS payment to the appeal by transferring funds from your online account to UKELA’s bank: Royal Bank of Scotland: account number 22573376, sort code: 15-10-00 marking the payee reference ‘Endowment’.

Set up a standing order to the appeal by emailing alisonboyd.ukela@ntlbusiness.com or ringing 01306 500090.

Donations can have Gift Aid applied, which increases the value of the donation. You must pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for each tax year (6 April one year to 5 April the next) that is at least equal to the amount of tax that UKELA will reclaim on your gifts for that tax year.

Please use the feedback form if you want to know more about supporting the site

You can also organise a sponsored event which will raise money, using our online charity giving webpage. So far we've received support from a sponsored swim in the sea in Croatia, a sponsored half marathon in the Forest of Dean, a bike ride and two sponsored kayaks in Norfolk. We're hugely grateful to all those who took part or who sponsored our swimmers, runners, cyclists and kayakers.

Sponsored Links

Law and Your Environment was seeking sponsored links. However in June 2010 we won a free for charities Google Adwords campaign which helps direct traffic to the site from searches. Traffic to the site has more than doubled in a few months - we now have over 23,300 visits a month. We're very grateful to UKELA's web hosting company, Smart Media, for helping us set up the ad campaign and making it a success and to Google for the free advertising. However Google doesn't allow sponsored links on sites which have won a Google grant so this offer has been discontinued.

If you would like a link on the site please make sure it's relevant to those seeking the kind of information or help people are looking for on this site and we'll put it on our "Find Help" page. Get in touch via the feedback form with your request.
